    Back

Reach where hands can't — lifts dullness and impurities.

Circular motions refine texture and boost circulation.

The oldest beauty tool, still the best.
The Heritage

The oldest beauty tool, still the best.

Centuries of skin renewal, in your hand.

The Kessa is the simplest object in the Amazigh hammam, and the most powerful. Generations of women have used it to exfoliate, refresh, and prepare the skin to receive the oils and waters that follow.

Our Kessa is woven from natural fibres by Amazigh artisans in Morocco, the same way it has been made for as long as anyone remembers.

Amazigh Heritage, Naturally Beautiful.

Questions, answered

Frequently Asked

Everything you'd want to know about the most-loved tool in the hammam.

  • How often should I use the Kessa?

1–2 times per week. Daily exfoliation is too aggressive and can disrupt your skin barrier.

  • Does it hurt?

No, when used correctly, exfoliation should feel firm but never painful. If it feels sharp, ease the pressure and check that the skin is properly softened first with our Black Soap.

  • How long does one Kessa last?

3–4 months with weekly use. Replace when the fibres begin to soften and lose their exfoliating texture.

  • How do I care for it?

Rinse thoroughly after every use and hang to dry. Machine wash at 30°C every 2–3 weeks to keep it fresh.

  • Can I use it on my face?

The Kessa is designed for the body, the face needs gentler care. For the face, use our Nila Radiance Elixir as a weekly purifying ritual.

  • What's it made of?

Durable natural fibres, hand-woven by Amazigh artisans in Morocco, the same craft passed down for generations.
